Physiology and digestive biochemistry of the lobster Panulirus argus. Basic studies oriented to the development of diets for a new aquaculture species.

Goal: Study of the digestive physiology and metabolism of spiny lobsters, which will allow to better understand the physiological bases of plasticity in the alimentary habits of the Palinuridae Family, as well as the functioning of these crustaceans from the energetic point of view. In general, this study aims to make a contribution to the field of invertebrate physiology, and crustaceans in particular. The present study will generate information about the digestive capacities of the lobster P. argus and will contribute to the development of diets adapted to the digestive physiology of the species.
